Progressive Enhancement

If you design, implement or automate websites you should take a look at this article on progressive enhancement. It's the concept of building your site up from core content through these steps:

• Format (basic then advanced)
• Scripting

By following these concepts, you build a site which makes sense on browsers which support the latest CSS3 and JavaScript and those which are less capable. It's open to readers, those with visual impairments and even text browsers (do people really use these things!).
